Greenfield High School recognizes the cultural diversity of the students and will provide the opportunity for each student to reach his/her maximum potential through academic preparation, personal development and citizenship training. By raising the expectations for each other, the students as well as ourselves, the district will fulfill our motto of being committed to excellence.

Comunity & School Profile:

Greenfield High School is located in Greenfield, a primarily agricultural community in the Southern part of Monterey County. Greenfield High School is one of two comprehensive high schools in the King City Joint Union High School District, which also includes two continuation schools. The school operates on a traditional semester schedule. The educational programs at the school are tailored to meet the needs of our changing society. Greenfield High School is dedicated to ensuring the academic success of every student and providing a safe and comprehensive educational experience. Greenfield High School had an enrollment of 953 during the 2005-2006 school year, of which 14.2% were students with disabilities, 37.8% were English Learners, and 66.1% were socioeconomically disadvantaged.

Parent & Community Involvement

Parents and the community are very supportive of the education program at Greenfield High School. The school provides parents with an Electronic Marquee that gives parents a venue to foster communication. As well, a monthly bilingual newsletter is produced. Numerous programs and activities are enriched by the generous contributions made by the following organizations: KCJUHSD & Board of Trustees, Rotary Club, GUSD & Board of Trustees, GHS Booster Club, American Legion Post 635, Greenfield Chamber of Commerce, and Sober Grad Committee.
