        10 Units          FINE ARTS: 1 year in any one of the following:

         *College entrance requirement for visual or performing art

                                        COLLEGE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

   Students should consult college handbooks to check entrance requirements for a specific college or university.

               COMMUNITY COLLEGES
               Requirements: STARR exam or other exam required by the school for placement

               CALIFORNIA STATE COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES (Requirements include a combination score
               derived from SATI/ACT and GPA.)

               AND UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA (Requirements include a combination score derived
               from SAT I/ACT and GPA plus SAT II tests in English, Mathematics and one other subject area.)

   All students are encouraged to complete college preparatory courses beyond those specified requirement.
   All students are encouraged to complete at least three years of laboratory science and foreign language and
   four years of college preparatory mathematics. Completion of the required number of math and English courses
   may not be sufficient in itself to ensure academic success at the university. Demonstrated proficiency in English
   and mathematics may be required prior to enrollment in certain courses.

   Grade Point Average (GPA) for the University of California system is figured by several different methods.
   The GPA used for eligibility is calculated by using only those courses taken in grades 10-12 and listed by the
   high school as meeting the A through G requirements. Extra points are figured for up to four year long
   UC-certified honors courses.
