There are two national testing companies. All colleges subscribe to one or the other of these test companies for the admission testing and/or placement testing. It is strongly suggested that the student always check the college catalog to make sure which test are required or recommended by the college of choice. The two testing programs are the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) and the American College Testing Program (ACT). Information booklets, registration materials, and exact test dates are now available in the counseling office and are listed below. Alternative test dates are listed below as well. The California State University will accept either the SAT I or the ACT test. However, it is recommended that you take the SAT I test. In addition, the U.C.
