The Community of King City is hosting a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day. All are invited!! They would like your volunteer help,Thursday the 27th to help serve and clear tables. This is a great community service. Don’t forget, the Chamber of Commerce needs help with the Christmas parade on Friday, December 5th, All Students: All Monterey County residents can visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium for free from Saturday, December 6th though Sunday, December 14th. Tell your family and spend a day at the Aquarium. (12/12) KCHS MAYA Club will be conducting their annual canned food drive beginning Dec 1, 2008 until Dec 19, 2008. Boxes will be placed in your teacher’s classrooms in order for you to bring your donations. This is a way of giving back to the needy families in our community. Let’s see who gets first place this year in contributing. The class with the most contributions will get donuts on December 19th. On behalf of the Maya Club members, we want to thank the staff and students for participating in this food drive. (Carlos 12/19) This weekend only! Buy your ticket to see King City Dramatics fall showcase, “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased from any cast member. Show times are Saturday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the historic Robert Stanton Theatre. (Callarman, 12/5) The Forensic Science class is sponsoring a Holiday Door Decorating Contest. All 1st period classes can compete and win big prizes. Be creative, have fun and show your Mustang Holiday spirit! We have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The doors will be judged during 1st period on Thursday Dec. 18.
